Son of Top security officer at Kenya’s Safaricom shoots himself dead.

Nairobi Kenya –A Son to the head of security at Kenya’s leading Telecom Company Safaricom has shot himself dead at their family home in Lavington, The star reports.

The student who was in four form at Aga khan secondary school, Nairobi is said to have used his father’s pistol to shot himself.

The incident took place on Tuesday evening and Police is yet to establish the cause.

According to the local newspaper The star, the police say the boy was alone at home during the time of  shooting.

Josiah Gathura  who was alone at home at the time is suspected to have broken into his father’s safe where he pulled a gun which he used to shoot himself.

Nairobi DCI chief Ireri Kamwende said the matter was under investigation.
