A student at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology was stabbed to death during a bar fight.
According to the University Vice Chancellor Prof Stephen Agong’ some students from the university got into a fight with bartenders in Bondo town on Friday night and the third-year student was stabbed.
Prof Agong’ said police are investigating the Friday night incident.
The killing sparked protests and students burnt down the night club.
Tension is high in Bondo town following the incident.
