Trailer knocks three dead in Kampala

KAMPALA. Three people have died on the spot after an accident on 7th street industrial area involving trailer.

According to eye witnesses, the trailer failed to brake, knocking the three people dead and injuring several others who were going to work early Saturday morning.

Daily Monitor could not get the identities of the deceased as the police had not arrived at the scene of crime at the time of filing this report.

In a related incident, a boda boda cyclist has been knocked dead near the Ministry of Works training centre at Kyambogo.

Last evening, an accident occurred at 8pm when a Uganda Railways Corporation (URC) passenger train hit a trailer, registration number KCA 351V at Bugolobi.

The train which left the station at 7.50pm had travelled for only 10 minutes when it approached Bugolobi and the driver saw a trailer along the tracks.
