Northern youth MP involved in car accident

Northern Youth Member of Parliament Oscar Omony has been involved in a car accident along Gulu- Kampala Highway.
The afternoon accident occurred at Idobo Village, Bobi Sub County in Omoro District.

The lawmaker was travelling to Kampala with his family members when his car registration number UAW, 260Q collided with Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) double cabin vehicle registration No UAR 436Y.

Mr Omony, his wife Denise Atimango, driver Christopher Okot, daughter and house help are admitted at Independent Hospital in Gulu District.

One of the relatives to the family, Xavier Oloya said the survivors are stabilizing and plans are underway to airlift them for better medical care in Kampala.

” Doctors are working around the clock to rescue the situation,” he said
Others injured in UNRA vehicle have been taken to St Mary’s Hospital Lacor for medical treatment.

Aswa region Police Spokes-person Jimmy Patrick Okema said investigations are underway to establish what could have caused the accident.
