Uganda: Three sons arrested over father’s death

PALLISA-Police in Pallisa District have launched an investigation into the murder of a 60-year-old man who was reportedly killed by his three sons, following a land dispute.

Mzeei Dama Kalisa, was allegedly killed by his sons on Sunday, according to the Police Community Liaison officer, Pallisa District, Mr Calvin Opule.

The suspects who are residents of Kaitambili, Pallisa Sub-county, Pallisa District, are in detention as investigations continue.

It’s alleged that the suspects have been embroiled in a land dispute with their father for a long time.

“The decomposing body of the old-man was recovered from a swamp. It bore deep cuts. The man has been missing for three days,” Mr Opule said.

He said that the body was taken to Pallisa Hospital for post-mortem
