Kenya: Police officers injured in grenade attack in Mandera

An unknown assailant threw a grenade at a security checkpoint in Mandera town injuring at least four police officers.

A police officer confirmed the attack, but he declined to be named.

A source at Mandera County Referral Hospital, who spoke anonymously because he is not authorised to speak to the press, said they received four injured officers.
