Uganda Airlines will have its maiden flight on Tuesday instead of Wednesday as earlier scheduled.
The maiden flight will be for selected people who will include technical officers, government officials, and media.
This was revealed by the Ministry of Works Spokesperson Susan Kataike.
The flight will depart from Entebbe Airport to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 10:00 am.
It is not yet clear whether this was made specifically for marketing purposes. But this means the taxpayer foots bills for this flight.
On its website, Uganda Airlines indicates it has no flight on Tuesday, which implies that the public didn’t book for it.
The announcement for change of the maiden flight was made by Ministry of Works, not the airline, via a tweet on Sunday, prompting a section of the public to ask whether plans for the maiden flight had changed.
Wednesday was announced as the day for the maiden commercial flight. The Airline will take off at 6:00 am and will reach JKIA at 7:15 am.
