KIGALI – Rwanda is finalizing preparations to host the annual Africa CEO Forum later this month, an event expected to draw over 2,000 top executives and heads of state to discuss the continent’s economic “scale or fail” dilemma.
The summit, scheduled for May 14-15, was highlighted on Saturday as Nigerian President Bola Tinubu confirmed his attendance as part of a three-nation tour.
The forum, held in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), aims to accelerate regional integration and cross-border investment.
Rwandan officials view the summit as a platform to showcase the country’s business-friendly environment and its ambitions to become a continental tech and financial hub.
The discussions are expected to focus on building resilient industries capable of competing with global markets, particularly in the manufacturing and digital sectors.
